Do you see that? There is actually going to be a vampire depicted as they were intended, as in evil blood-sucking fiends, not sparkly, cuddly vegetarians. Rufus Sewell is set to play the bad vampire Adam (the lead vampire) in the upcoming Timur Bekmambetov directed adaptation of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. Sewell will join Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Alan Tudyk and Robin McLeavy in the film that will hit theaters in both 2D and 3D on June 22, 2012.

My interest in this film has yet to wane and I’m looking forward to seeing a few vampires get staked ala ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. Has anyone out there read the actual book by Seth Grahame-Smith? How about his other adaptation (which will also be made into a film) PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES- worth it or no?
