Aaron Paul joins Jamie Dornan in The 9th Life of Louis Drax
With a hit TV show behind him, a mildly successful action film and a couple of indie dramas under his belt, Aaron Paul has made the most of his ‘Breaking Bad’ fame. But what’s more impressive is the fact that he’s been pretty great in everything he’s done and aside from NEED FOR SPEED, has avoided the easy paychecks and focused on diversifying his resume and proving his acting ability. Next up for Aaron Paul is the drama THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX.
The film is adapted by first time screenwriter Max Minghella from the novel by Liz Jensen. The official synopsis of her book: Louis Drax is a boy like no other. He is brilliant and strange, and every year something violent seems to happen to him. On his ninth birthday, Louis goes on a picnic with his parents and falls off a cliff. The details are shrouded in mystery. Louis’s mother is shell-shocked; his father has vanished. And after some confusion Louis himself, miraculously alive but deep in a coma, arrives at Dr. Pascal Dannachet’s celebrated coma clinic…Full of astonishing twists and turns, this is a masterful tale of the secrets the human mind can hide.
50 SHADES OF GREY star Jamie Dornan is also attached to the film and he’ll play the psychiatrist that starts to unravel the mystery. The film will be directed by Alexandre Aja, who most recently directed HORNS with Daniel Radcliffe. THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX was written by first time screenwriter and actor Max Minghella.
