Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are looking to star in The Irishman for Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro

Before you start salivating at the idea of having Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro starring in a movie directed by Martin Scorsese, please keep in mind that this is all in the early stages of development right now.  But if everything goes right, either Robert De Niro or Martin Scorsese would direct Pacino and Pesci in THE IRISHMAN, based off the life of famous mobster Frank Sheeran.  The film would, to some degree, be based on the book by Charles Brandt ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’, which detailed all of Sheeran’s exploits.  How exactly this film will be made is still up for discussion with De Niro saying in the past that it could be a film within a film (Fellini style) and would not only tell the mob story, but also a story of De Niro and Scorsese working together.

That would be great, but a true, no holds barred mob movie from all of these great actors would also be incredible.  But points have to be given for originality and with these four involved; I’ll see whatever they put on screen.
