Alec Baldwin will not join Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black 3

The problems with MEN IN BLACK III just keep coming. There’s been problems with the script, which forced a hiatus in between filming last year and this spring, one of the writers won’t talk to the producers and the budget is reaching epic proportions at $200 million so far. And now? Alec Baldwin has backed out the film due to scheduling conflicts. Baldwin was set to play the head honcho of the 1969 MIB headquarters and who knows who they’ll be able to drum up to replace him. With all these problems it’ll be amazing if this thing hits its release date of May 25, 2012.

I wish I could say that I’m bummed that Baldwin is out of MIB3, but honestly this film will probably be such a big fail that it’s good that he won’t have a chance to be involved. I’m really wishing Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones could back out, but there’s no way that will happen since there’s already been $200 million sunk into the film.
