Alex Pettyfer, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Pine may team up for Preacher

D.J. Caruso, who will be directing the upcoming comic book adaptation of PREACHER, has revealed that three young actors are interested in the leads in the film. Chris Pine would play Jesse, Shia LaBeouf would play Arseface and Alex Pettyfer would be the Saint of Killers. Now keep in mind that this is in the very, very early stages as the script is still being written, but this is coming straight from the director’s mouth so we’ll just have to wait and see how everyone’s schedule’s play out.
The story is a basic good vs. evil where a Texas preacher teams up with a vampire who set out on a quest to find God and hold him accountable for all his wrongdoings. D.J. Caruso is very passionate about this project and he seems to be getting a lot of support from Sony Pictures, hopefully he’ll be able to get these actors but it’s still way to early to tell.
