Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Swift looking to join Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables
Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of the musical LES MISERABLES is due to hit theaters by the end of 2012 and there are still key roles that have yet to be cast, two of which being Eponine and Cosette. Well, if everything aligns perfectly, the two roles will be filled by Taylor Swift and Amanda Seyfried respectively. Reports have it that both of the young ladies have received offers, and although it looks like Seyfried is in final negotiations, Swift is still mulling it over. If she does accept, she will join a cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.
For Seyfried, this would be a return to musicals after starring in the insanely popular MAMMA MIA. Seyfried has proven her ability as both an actor and a performer, so this seems right up her alley. As for Swift, this would definitely be a challenge for the young musician as far as acting is concerned, but we know she has the pipes to pull off any musical number. Unless it gets delayed, the film is due in theaters on December 7th, 2012.
