Andrew Garfield and Jennifer Garner join Marcia Gay Harden in Back Roads

Andrew Garfield has signed on to what appears to be another good role in BACK ROADS. In the film directed by Adrian Lyne, Garfield will play a young man named Harvey who has to care for his three younger sisters after their mother is hauled off to jail. Jennifer Garner will play his neighbor and love interest while Marcia Gay Harden will take on the role the court-appointed therapist for the family. The sisters have not yet been cast but here’s a list of girls who would be good in the parts (our list, not Hollywood’s): Abigail Breslin, Elle Fanning, Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfield and Joey King. Production should begin sometime this summer so look for additional casting soon.
I recently re-watched THE SOCIAL NETWORK and was once again bummed that Andrew Garfield was snubbed for an Academy Award. I don’t know how I feel about him being the new Spider-Man, but I definitely like watching him in films and look forward to many more.
