Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone swing into action in new set photos from The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Okay, so that’s probably not Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man mask on the set of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. He’s probably off somewhere doing whatever voodoo magic he has to practice in order to keep Emma Stone. But after several set photos featuring Spider-Man in action, today we get a few nice action shots of Spidey swinging around New York with Gwen Stacy. I wasn’t that thrilled with THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, but I’m holding out hope that the sequel will follow a very specific storyline from the comic books, which could make the follow-up worth watching. But that would be a gutsy move from Marc Webb, so we’ll have to wait until next year to see if he decides to do it or not.
Directed by Marc Webb, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 will star Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, Sally Field and Martin Sheen. The sequel will be swinging into theaters on May 2, 2014. (Superhero Hype)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 official synopsis: For Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
