Andrew O’Hagan thinks George Clooney and Angelina Jolie are going to star as Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Andrew O’Hagan announced that his book ‘The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog and of His Friend, Marilyn Monroe’ was going to be adapted into a film and would be starring George Clooney as Frank Sinatra and Angelina Jolie as Marilyn Monroe. The book is a biopic of sorts of Marilyn Monroe and is told through the eyes of her Scottish Maltese Poodle, which was given to her by Frank Sinatra.
Now, I’m not saying this isn’t true, because far be it for me to question the word of a well respected novelist, but I will say that I report this as being hearsay until a studio or an actor’s representative confirms it. I just have a very hard time accepting that George Clooney would take a role as big as Frank Sinatra and Angelina would topline as Marilyn Monroe and the announcement would come from the book’s author. So please consider this speculation until official confirmation.
