AnnaSophia Robb, Carrie Underwood and Soul Surfer coming to Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release SOUL SUFER, starring AnnaSophia Robb, Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt and Carrie Underwood, on Blu-ray on August 2, 2011. The film is based on the true-story of Bethany Hamilton, the young surfer who survived a shark attack and lost her arm. Her faith and determination gave her the strength to get back in the water and compete in the surfing circuit at an international level. The film received positive reviews and SOUL SURFER brought in a surprising $40 million at the box office which is quite amazing considering it wasn’t terribly hyped.
I’m a sucker for inspirational stories and shark attacks, so this is right up my alley. I will definitely be picking this one up for a viewing when it comes out this summer. Special features for SOUL SURFER include:
