Anne Hathaway admits she would love to do a spin-off of her character from The Dark Knight Rises
Anne Hathaway is a busy lady these days as she is promoting her upcoming film LES MISERABLES as well as doing interviews for the Blu-ray release of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Apparently during one of her interviews she was asked if she would be interested in doing a spin-off for her character Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Even though this is a question she was asked back in July for the initial theatrical release of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (you can read that response by clicking the previous link), it seems her answer has changed just ever so slightly. Anne Hathaway stated, “No one’s talked to me about it. I would love it. I actually, it’s so embarrassing, I was at a press Q & A thing the other night for a screening of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and the moderator asked me, ‘So what was it like to say goodbye to the character?’ And I burst into tears, because I miss her. It just makes me cry. I miss her. I love Selina so much and I love her presence in my life and getting to… I’m crying again…So assuming there was enough Kleenex in the world, I would love to do a spin-off.” Sounds almost promising, but since Anne Hathaway also said she would only want to work with the “right people” and keep her character true to the how it was in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, I doubt it will ever happen. But stranger things occur in Hollywood everyday so maybe we can still hope.
Anne Hathaway can be seen next in LES MISERABLES which also stars: Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Barks. It opens in theaters on December 25th, 2012. (Access Hollywood)
