Armie Hammer to join Tom Cruise in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Arnie Hammer

First it was THE LONE RANGER (set to hit theaters July 3rd), now it appears Armie Hammer has signed on to another classic television show adapted for the big screen in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. To make things even more familiar, still up and coming Armie Hammer joined a huge star in Johnny Depp for THE LONE RANGER and now he joins another mega star in Tom Cruise for THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

Apparently Warner Bros. has been pushing the project for sometime, first with director Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney. But they both dropped out and were replaced by director Guy Ritchie (SHERLOCK HOLMES) and Tom Cruise. I know very little about the television show personally but the television show ran from 1964-1968. Two clever agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) named Solo (Cruise) and Kuryakin (Hammer) battle the Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity (T.H.R.U.S.H.).
