The Bluths return in the first Arrested Development season 4 trailer
In less than two weeks, the moment that millions of fans have been dreaming about will finally become a reality; ‘Arrested Development‘ will return for a fourth season. I haven’t written much about the return of ‘Arrested Development’, but I think everyone that signed a petition or sent in a letter to the show’s creators should take a moment and give themselves a pat on the back. It’s rare that shows return like this and if it wasn’t for the great DVD sales and the die-hard enthusiasm from the fan base, this never would have happened. If the first trailer for season 4 is any indication, the show will pick up right where it left off in season 3, which is perfect. I was halfway expecting them to try and do something completely different, but thankfully, it looks like they’re going to keep the good thing going. And just from this trailer, you can pick out all of your favorite ‘Arrested Development’ -isms, which should please the fans. Now how soon is too soon to start a petition for season 5?
Instead of Fox, this time the show will be brought to you courtesy of Netflix, which has made a fortune lately with shows like ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Hemlock Grove’. So if you were on the fence about signing up, then this should be all you need to make it happen. Truth be told, ‘House of Cards’ should have been all you needed, but now you have some extra incentive. If the clamoring from disgruntled fans was any indication, the company’s biggest success will be with the return of the Bluths. All the cast of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT will be returning for the fourth season and will star: Jason Bateman, David Cross, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Will Arnett, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter. All 13 episodes will be available for streaming via Netflix on May 26th.
