Ashton Kutcher and Robert De Niro join Lea Michele for New Year's Eve

Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Hilary Swank are currently in talks to star in the upcoming Garry Marshall film NEW YEAR’S EVE. The actors would join a cast that already includes Lea Michele (TV’s GLEE) and Abigail Breslin. Much like Marshall’s film VALENTINE’S DAY, NEW YEAR’S EVE follows several couples as they find romance throughout the day leading up to New Year’s Eve. De Niro is set to play a bitter man in a hospital, Pfeiffer will play an executive secretary who is trying to fulfill her resolutions, Swank will play the producer of the Times Square New Year’s Eve Show and Kutcher will play a guy who just plain hates New Year’s Eve (which I don’t understand, it’s barely a major holiday). Plans are to begin shooting mid-December and most likely we’ll see this next New Year’s Eve.
Although I really enjoyed Marshall’s VALENTINE’S DAY, I’m surprised that he would do something so similar again so soon. Not that I care because I love his movies and will see it, even if I have to watch Ashton Kutcher again.
