Ben Affleck considers directing American Bullshit

After years of being the butt of many jokes, Ben Affleck can finally hold his head high and take satisfaction in his directorial success entitled THE TOWN. Now he can do whatever the heck he wants. And one of the projects he’s looking at is called AMERICAN BULLSHIT (what a great title). This is one of the films on the Hollywood black list and is described as such:

…the true story of Abscam, the FBI’s 1980 undercover sting operation of Congress to root out corruption which was the brainchild of the world’s greatest con man.

I’ve never heard of this story, but then again I seem to be more in tune to the film industry instead of politics. This is just one of the multiple projects Affleck can choose from and believe me, he can pretty much choose whatever he wants now. The other two scripts he may direct include TRADE which follows a wife swap that took place between two New York Yankees in the 70’s and REPLAY a novel adaptation about a journalist who dies and wakes up in an 18 year-old’s body and gets to constantly relive his life. Whatever he decides to go with next, I know I’ll be watching.
