Ben Affleck looking to star in and direct Line of Sight

Ben Affleck just keeps adding projects to his resume. Today he is negotiating a deal to star in, produce and direct the upcoming thriller LINE OF SIGHT. The film will be co-produced by Joel Silver and Andrew Rona and follows, “an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat. One of the conceits of the movie is that it tells the tale from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game.” The screenplay is currently being tweaked by Peter O’Brien who wrote the popular Xbox game Halo: Reach. No word on when filming for LINE OF SIGHT would start, as Affleck is working on his other big project ARGO which is currently being shot in Los Angeles.
Ben Affleck is slowly making his way up my list of favorite directors. If he pulls off ARGO and LINE OF SIGHT with the same finesse and power that he showed in GONE BABY GONE and THE TOWN, I think he’ll be up there with the best of the best.
