I was a pretty big fan of THE SQUID AND THE WHALE, which was written and directed by Noah Baumbach. He has a pretty good style and I really like the way he uses music in his films. Next up for him is GREENBERG, starring Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig and Rhys Ifans. It looks like it keeps with Baumbach’s dark comedy motif, but it also showcases some of Stiller’s subtle acting qualities that tend to get lost in his big budget films. The film is about a 40-something man that has no direction or ambition and his encounters while housesitting for a friend in LA.
