Bernal to star in EARTHBOUND

Gael Garcia Bernal will star with Kate Hudson in the romance film EARTHBOUND. The film is to be directed by Nicole Kassell, who did a great job with the disturbing WOODSMAN.
Variety says that the film is about “a terminally ill woman who falls for her doctor”. Kate Hudson has suckered me too many times to be interested in this film, but can you think of a more depressing premise? There’s only one way the film can end when it involves a terminally ill romance. I’m also interested to see if Kate Hudson can actually get into this role, since she seems to just be going through the motions with her last few films.
