Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini star in the new Killing Them Softly trailer

Another trailer for Brad Pitt‘s KILLING THEM SOFTLY has come out and I’ve determined that this is probably a movie that’s near impossible to make a good trailer for. I haven’t seen the film, but if you count the two domestic trailers and the international trailer we’ve seen, along with all of the TV spots, I don’t think any of them have properly relayed the tone and feel of the film. They’re making it look like SMOKIN’ ACES or something and from everything we’ve read about the synopsis, it seems like KILLING THEM SOFTLY is much more than a story about a couple of contract killers going after a few punk thieves. It’s possible I’m wrong, of course, but I expect a lot more from the director of THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD and I think we’re going to get it in the film comes out later this month.
KILLING THEM SOFTLY stars Brad Pitt, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins and Ray Liotta. The Andrew Dominik directed film opens in theaters on November 30th, 2012. Check out the trailer below.
