Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf star in the latest trailer for Fury

The only thing that makes me nervous about Brad Pitt’s latest film is that it’s directed by David Ayer. I thought END OF WATCH had some fatal flaws and SABOTAGE was a complete mess, so my confidence in his directing abilities are shaken. But FURY has an amazing cast, a great story and all of the trailers so far have me excited. The question remains as to whether or not Ayer can put everything together and make the kind of film he should have been making all along. Check out the latest trailer below.

The official FURY synopsis: April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. FURY stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Xavier Samuel, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood. The David Ayer directed film hits theaters on October 17th, 2014.
