Brad Pitt gets down to business in new photos from Moneyball

Since the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is gearing up, we’ve been getting a lot of new photos from upcoming movies, including the soon to be released baseball feel-good film MONEYBALL. Directed by Bennett Miller, the film follows the 2002 Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) who is taking a chance by deciding to use a modern analytical sabermetrics system to help him draft players and gather together a more competitive team. The film also stars Jonah Hill, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Wright and opens in theaters on September 23, 2011.

I’m actually looking forward to this film because it has a combination of two great things: Brad Pitt and a baseball flick. Whether or not it will actually be any good is yet to be determined, but Mr. Pitt doesn’t typically pick poor scripts, so I think there is a very good chance that this will be a winner.
