Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in new trailer for Moneyball

A new clip has been debuted for the upcoming baseball flick MONEYBALL from director Bennett Miller. The film follows the story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane (played by Brad Pitt) and his attempt to put together a team on a tight budget by using a computer-generated analysis to draft his players. The film also stars Jonah Hill, Robin Wright, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Chris Pratt and the screenplay was co-written by Aaron Sorkin (THE SOCIAL NETWORK).
I’m a big fan of sports films, especially if they star such incredible actors like Brad Pitt and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. MONEYBALL is definitely one to keep an eye on and it may be an Oscar contender. After THE BLIND SIDE did so well a couple of years ago and won Sandra Bullock the best actress award, could Brad Pitt possibly bring home a statuette for a role in a sports film or maybe for THE TREE OF LIFE? This could be Brad Pitt’s year, let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
