Brad Pitt set to star in World War Z for Marc Forster

While other stars of his tenure seem to be fading into the sunset, Brad Pitt continues to exude what we think of when we think of A-list actors; he has a beautiful girlfriend, he’s always cool and he makes consistently great movies. So any time we get to do an update on his latest project, it’s almost a sure bet the film will be good, or at least interesting. Such is the case with his next film, WORLD WAR Z. During an interview at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, author Max Brooks revealed that Brad Pitt will be starring in his book about a zombie war. Brooks, as you may or may not know, is the son of Anne Bancroft and Mel Brooks. He goes on to mention that they also optioned another of his books ‘The Zombie Survival Guide’.
Pitt’s Plan B studio had bought the rights to Z a while ago, but until now we didn’t know he was intending to star in the film. How exactly they’ll go about making the book into a film is not clear since the book is a collection of accounts of a war that happened 10 years earlier, with Pitt presumably playing the reporter interviewing the people involved. Marc Forster (QUANTUM OF SOLACE) is attached to direct.
