Brad Pitt will take on zombies in World War Z on December 21, 2012

Looks like December 2012 is going to be quite an exciting month. Paramount just announced that they will be releasing the film WORLD WAR Z from director Marc Forster on December 21st, 2012. That wouldn’t be such big news, except there are already three other anticipated films opening on that day as well (though that is sure to change). As of right now, WORLD WAR Z will be going up against HUNTER KILLER from Phillip Noyce, LIFE OF PI from Ang Lee and THE LONE RANGER from Gore Verbinski which stars Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. Plus, Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY hits theaters the weekend before on December 14th. Looks like we’ll all have to take a break in our holiday festivities to catch all these great films.

WORLD WAR Z follows Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) a bureaucrat that is tasked with gathering together information to form a report about the aftermath of the zombie take over. The film will also star: Matthew Fox, Bryan Cranston, James Badge Dale, Mirielle Enos and Elyes Gabel.
