Brad Pitt's Killing Them Softly has been pushed back to a November release

Brad Pitt and Richard Jenkins in Killing them Softly

The upcoming crime drama from director Andrew Dominik, KILLING THEM SOFTLY, which features Brad Pitt sporting a greasy, slicked back hair-do has been pushed back again and will now be released in theaters on November 30th, 2012. Not surprisingly, The Weinstein Company is pushing back the film so it can have the biggest impact on the pending awards season as well as to make the biggest possible impact at the box office. It helps that the only other film opening that weekend (for now) is the subpar looking thriller THE FROZEN GROUND which features Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens. So sadly for those eagerly awaiting the release of KILLING THEM SOFTLY, you’ll have to wait a little longer. However, if reviews are true then you’ll be very happy with what you’ll see on screen.

Directed by Andrew Dominik,KILLING THEM SOFTLY follows Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) who is a professional enforcer investigating a robbery that took place during a mob poker game. Along with Brad Pitt, KILLING THEM SOFTLY stars: Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins and Ray Liotta. (Deadline)
