Bradley Cooper and David O. Russell could re-team for American Sniper

Bradley Cooper and David O. Russell

Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Director David O. Russell probably spent the weekend reveling in the positive reviews for their upcoming film THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, but now that that’s all out of the way it’s time for them all to look to other projects. It’s been reported that David O. Russell and Bradley Cooper are in discussions to work on yet another project (they are already slated to re-team for the currently titled AMERICAN BULLSHIT) called AMERICAN SNIPER. AMERICAN SNIPER is a project Bradley Cooper’s company (22nd & Indiana) acquired which is an autobiography of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle who tells his story of being a sniper for ten years and racking up the most kills in Army history. This record resulted in a bounty being put on his head by Iraqi insurgents. No word on when AMERICAN SNIPER would start to get off the ground, but a re-teaming of Bradley Cooper and David O. Russell sounds promising so I’m hoping that this project will take a front seat sooner rather than later.

You can catch Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in David O. Russell’s upcoming film THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK which hits theaters on November 21st, 2012. (THR)
