Director Brian de Palma is moving towards a remake of the 2011 French psychodrama, CRIME D’AMOUR. 2011? Remake? That’s a little quick, right? Maybe not, considering it will take a bit to film and what not. In the case of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, the Swedish version was released in 2009 and the American version is due out next week on the 21st.

The film centers on an older executive who takes revenge on her protege. Kristin Scott Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier starred in the original. As writer and director, de Palma will basically deliver an opposite story with the younger woman stealing the ideas of her boss.

Noomi Rapace is already set to star and now it looks like her SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS co-star Rachel McAdams in currently in talks for the other leading female role. De Palma is very excited to get the ball rolling on this project as he was very impressed with the original.
