Buzz, Woody and Jessie look stressed in the first image from Toy Story of Terror
I think it’s great that Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and others keep returning for anything that Pixar wants to do with Toy Story. I remember when Robin Williams voiced the Genie from Aladdin and then refused to do any more voice work for Disney, presumably because they used his voice in a Burger King commercial. That was of course resolved, but every time I hear about another Toy Story short, I’m reminded that Disney hasn’t always had a good relationship with their voice talent.
Where was I? Oh, right; there’s another new Toy Story short hitting TV some time in October, marking the fourth short film since TOY STORY 3. This time, the gang tackles the horror genre. According to producer Galyn Susman (in an interview with TV Guide), the plot this time “Bonnie is on a road trip to go see grandma with her mom and the toys are in the trunk. Mom gets a flat tire and they have to spend the night at a motel and all kinds of chaos ensues.” It sounds like fun, but let’s face it; you’ll follow these characters anywhere. Below you can see the first image from the new short, TOY STORY OF TERROR.
