Catherine Keener confirmed to join Phillip Seymour Hoffman in A Late Quartet

Earlier this week we posted that Phillip Seymour Hoffman had joined the film A LATE QUARTET, we also speculated that Catherine Keener would be joining the drama as well. Today we can confirm that the actress will join the Yaron Zilberman indie drama about a sting quartet that is approaching their 25th season. When the leader starts to show signs of Parkinson’s disease and must face leaving the group, all the members must deal with the possibility of change as well as their egos. Filming is set to begin shortly in New York City, and although not confirmed, Christopher Walken and Imogen Poots have been rumored to star as well.
I love Catherine Keener in just about anything she does. She’s just one of those actresses that is consistently great but doesn’t get all the credit she deserves. I love how she’s willing to do all sorts of roles no matter how small they may be (WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE) and I’m looking forward to seeing her and Hoffman in A LATE QUARTET.
