Chris Evans offered the lead role in Motor City helmed by Albert Hughes

Alright, alright, so Chris Evans does pull off a rather great CAPTAIN AMERICA. It’s hard not to be impressed with the guy. Evans has had a fairly steady film career thus far and I think it’s only going to get better.

Since Albert Hughes has dropped the live-action version of AKIRA, the director has moved on to other pastures that involve films with one line of dialogue. MOTOR CITY is a script from Chat St. John that has set on the Blacklist for some time now. The revenge themed flick is about, “a small time crook who is framed and sent to jail only to go after those who put him there upon release.”

Producer Joel Silver is ready to make the film and believes that Chris Evans would be great in the lead role. If for some reason he passes on it, they are also eyeing Jeremy Renner and Joel Edgerton. No word on whether or not more dialogue will be placed into the script. My guess is they will.
