Chris Hemsworth may join Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN has had one heck of a time casting a male lead as both Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman have passed on the project. So Universal and director Rupert Sanders are going down the Hollywood list of leading men who could help Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White escape the clutches of Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen. Seems that Sanders has decided Chris Hemsworth could be their guy, he’s in the appropriate age bracket, he’s becoming quite a household name (he’s opening THOR this weekend) and he’s probably still in the appropriate budget range (for the time being). Hemsworth is the front runner right now, but no offer has been made so it’s not even close to being a done deal.SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is set to start shooting this summer and open in theaters December 2012. Stay tuned for either a confirmation or more casting news soon.

If Hemsworth passes on this project then here’s my list of candidates I’d like to see in the role but would never happen, ready? Tom Hardy, Daniel Craig, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Sam Worthington. None of these guys would do this in a million years, but a girl can dream, right?
