Christoph Waltz may be hanging out with Kermit the Frog in The Muppets sequel
Christoph Waltz has taken on such serious roles in the past couple of years that he obviously needed a change of pace, which could be why he is currently in negotiations to star in the upcoming sequel to THE MUPPETS (click the link to read the review). If Christoph Waltz joins the cast (well, technically he’ll be the one of the first non-Muppets to sign on) he would play an Interpol inspector which will actually make sense since the film will be taking place in Europe, although the thought just makes me cringe because all I can think about is PINK PANTHER. James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller are writing the script for the sequel, but let it be known that Jason Segel will not be taking part in THE MUPPETS sequel in any way, shape or form, that means no cameo from Gary which is a bit of a bummer. No word on when production will start with THE MUPPETS sequel, but we’ll keep you posted.
Christoph Waltz can be seen next in DJANGO UNCHAINED, the new Quentin Tarantino film that will hit theaters on December 25th, 2012. (THR)
