Clint Eastwood's Hereafter pulled from theaters in Japan

Warner Bros. studios has pulled the film HEREAFTER from director Clint Eastwood from 180 screens in Japan due to the sensitive subject matter. For those who have not seen the film, the first ten minutes show a tsunami crashing its way through a small seaside town and destroying everything in its path. This scene was one of the reasons HEREAFTER received an Academy Award nomination for best visual effects. The film is going to be released on Blu-ray and DVD starting tomorrow. HEREAFTERÂ follows a man, a French journalist and a young boy who are all dealing with death and the afterlife in different ways, it stars Matt Damon, Bryce Dallas Howard, Cecile de France and Jay Mohr.
Obviously this is a good move on Warner Bros. part as no one in Japan would want to see a film of this nature. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who were effected by this great tragedy.
