Colin Farrell makes a good vampire in the new Fright Night trailer

So the new trailer for the remake of the 1985 cheesy horror film FRIGHT NIGHT has been released and it looks pretty good, but not really funny like I thought it might be. It actually looks more horror than anything else and now I’m completely convinced that Colin Farrell can pull off being a vampire. The film also stars Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots and Christopher Mintz-Plasse and is directed by Craig Gillespie. The film follows teenager Charley (Yelchin) who discovers that his next door neighbor Jerry (Farrell) is actually a vampire and has been picking off the townies one by one so Charley decides to take care of the problem himself. FRIGHT NIGHT is set to hit theaters August 19, 2011.

I was hoping for a little more humor, but I think FRIGHT NIGHT looks decent and it will be one that I will definitely check out on Blu-ray later this year.
