Colin Farrell will take on Total Recall

I know a lot of you out there are stoked about Hollywood doing a remake of 1990 classic sci-fi film TOTAL RECALL…What’s that you say? You’re not excited and can’t believe they would do such a thing? News alert, Hollywood doesn’t care what we want anymore so we’re just gonna have to deal with it. At least we’ll get something nice to look at in the remake, and that is Colin Farrell who has been confirmed to star in the vehicle directed by Len Wiseman. Apparently this version of TOTAL RECALL will stay closer to the book We Can Remember It For You Wholesale than the original film did, and this time we won’t be seeing anything shot on Mars because Farrell wil be staying earthbound for the entire film.

The film will start shooting this coming May and is set for a 2012 release and will not be in 3D (who cares). Big year for Colin Farrell with his upcoming comedy HORRIBLE BOSSES, FRIGHT NIGHT and THE WAY BACK, but he did surrender his role in COSMOPOLIS to Robert Pattinson.
