I was fully prepared to write a scathing piece about how horrible the new YOGI BEAR film looks. But I have to admit that it made me chuckle a few times and the best I can say is that it doesn’t look completely horrible. Yogi Bear and Boo Boo look pretty cute and it has a very wholesome feel to it. I think if you can get past some cheesy moments, this will probably be a decent film to take your kids to and maybe you won’t be bored out of your mind.
The film features the voice talents of Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake and the live action performances of Anna Faris and Tom Cavanagh. Can someone please tell Anna Faris that she is way too talented and likable to be doing movies like this? Eric Brevig is directing and he previously directed the JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH remake. Watch the trailer here.
