Daniel Craig battles his past in the new Spectre trailer

In a recent interview, director Sam Mendes said that SPECTRE would be his last James Bond film. And if this trailer is any indication, he may have outdone SKYFALL, which I thought would be impossible. If you look at SPECTRE as a direct sequel to SKYFALL, then I assumed that it would suffer from all of the normal sequelitis symptoms; too may villains, overreaching stunts, bored actors, etc. But I had a blast with this trailer and I think SPECTRE might have just skyrocketed to the top of my most anticipated list. As great as it is, the trailer also makes me a little sad because I know at some point Daniel Craig is going to stop being James Bond. I guess now we know how people felt when Sean Connery left. Check out the new trailer below and see for yourself.

The official SPECTRE synopsis: In SPECTRE, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE. SPECTRE stars Daniel Craig, Monica Belluci, Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Dave Bautista, Ben Whishaw, Naomi Harris, Stephanie Sigman, Rory Kinnear and Andrew Scott. The Sam Mendes directed film hits theaters on November 6th.
