Daniel Craig is set to star in two more James Bond films
While the debate continues as to who the best James Bond is*, we’ll get at least two more films featuring Daniel Craig in the lead role. Mi6-hq reports that Daniel Craig has signed on to reprise his role as James Bond for two more films, bringing his grand total to five James Bond films in all. That puts him ahead of George Lazenby (1), Timothy Dalton (2) and Pierce Brosnan (4). If he wants to catch Sean Connery and Roger Moore (tied at 7, assuming you discard NEVER SAY NEVER) Daniel Craig will have to do a couple more after that. We also get word that the 24th James Bond film will hit theaters in 2014, putting Bond back on the two year cycle. But since Daniel Craig isn’t getting any younger, I wonder if they’ll shoot the 24th and 25th films back to back? That’s speculation on my part, but it does make sense.
Daniel Craig can next be seen playing James Bond in SKYFALL, which also stars Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Ola Rapace, Albert Finney, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe. The 23rd James Bond film opens in theaters on November 9th, 2012.
*The correct answer is Sean Connery, but Daniel Craig has definitely starred in the best James Bond movies and it helps that he’s been lucky enough to work with the best directors.
