Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules coming to Blu-ray

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that the family comedy DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES (sequel to last year’s DIARY OF A WIMPY KID), starring Zachary Gordon, Devon Bostick, Rachael Harris and Steve Zahn, will be released on Blu-ray June 21, 2011. After summer vacation is over Greg Heffley is back in middle school and dealing with his parents as they try to get him and his older brother Rodrick to bond. A per usual with kids films, DIARY OF A WIMPY KID 2 did pretty well at the box office bringing in over $51 million dollars.

Since I’m not a parent, it’s hard for me to gauge whether or not these Diary films are good for the younger crowd. It seems that most parents like the first one, but some felt the second book was a little too much for the kiddies. As in, I don’t think parents wanted to give their kids any ideas when it comes to practical jokes.
