Eddie Redmayne stars in the first Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them trailer

Do we really need more from the world of Harry Potter? Warner Bros. is hoping the answer is yes as they’ve released the first teaser trailer for the Harry Potter spinoff, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. HP himself doesn’t show up, nor do any familiar characters, but they’ve assembled an all star cast led by recent Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne. The first trailer has arrived and you’ll have to decide for yourself if this is a story worth telling or if everyone involved just wants to cash a paycheck.

The official synopsis for FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds. FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell. The David Yates directed film hits theaters on November 18th, 2016.
