Edgar Ramirez may join Sam Worthington in Wrath of the Titans

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

Even though last year’s CLASH OF THE TITANS was crushed by critics (for the record, I kinda liked it), Warner Bros. is proceeding with the sequel as are the majority of the stars from the first film.  Edgar Ramirez, who is best known for his role as Carlos the Jackal in the biopic CARLOS, is in final talks to star in the sequel as Ares the god of war. Right now we know that Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arterton are all returning to reprise their roles as Perseus, Zeus, Hades and Io under the new direction of Jonathan Liebesman. WRATH OF THE TITANS is looking at a theatrical release of March 30th, 2012.

There are still a lot of actors that have been mentioned as starring in the film, such as James Franco, Javier Bardem and Bill Nighy but it looks like actors have been shuffling in and out so when a permanent cast is in place we’ll let you know.
