Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman will voice characters in Lego: The Piece of Resistance
Two more top actors have signed on to lend their voices to the upcoming film LEGO: THE PIECE OF RESISTANCE in the form of Elizabeth Banks (THE HUNGER GAMES) and Morgan Freeman (THE DARK KNIGHT RISES). The two will join actors Chris Pratt (TV’s Parks and Recreation) as well as Will Arnett (TV’s Arrested Development) in the world of Lego where a normal, everyday Lego guy named Emmet (Chris Pratt) is mistaken for a MasterBuilder and becomes part of a group who will have to stop a bad guy from gluing all the pieces together. Will Arnett will voice Batman, Morgan Freeman will voice a character named Vitruvius, who is an architect but no word yet on what Elizabeth Banks character will be. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like Channing Tatum is still on board, but if this film crosses over into the different Lego worlds as promised then we still have a lot of character shoes to fill so we may still see some big talents attaching themselves to the project.
Directed by Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Chris McKay, LEGO: THE PIECE OF RESISTANCE will hit theaters on February 28th, 2014. (Deadline)
