Elizabeth Olsen is rumored to be the frontrunner to play Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron
Even though Saoirse Ronan was initially thought to be Joss Whedon’s favorite to play The Scarlet Witch in the upcoming THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, the young actress supposedly already turned it down, forcing Disney and Whedon to find another young actress to play Wanda Maximoff. It looks like Elizabeth Olsen is now the new frontrunner to join the ensemble cast. As we all know, a director’s top choice doesn’t always mean it will happen, but for now at least, it looks like it’s Olsen’s to lose. Although I really like Saoirse Ronan, Elizabeth Olsen is a fine choice, especially if Aaron Taylor-Johnson officially signs on. All indications are that he will, but until the ink is dry on the contract, anything can happen. As for Olsen, we don’t even know if an offer has been made her way yet.
Directed by Joss Whedon, THE AVENGERS 2 will have our favorite heroes returning to the big screen and will star: Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson. THE AVENGERS 2 is set to open in theaters on May 1st, 2015. (BleedingCool)
