Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler join the J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg collaboration Super 8

Excitement was pretty high when it was first announced that J.J. Abrams was going to be directing and writing a film that was inspired by the movies of Steven Spielberg and that Senor Spielbergo would also be producing the film. The only question was; what is the film about and who is going to star in it? Well, we’re still not sure what SUPER 8 is about, even after a little teaser trailer, but today we get the cast for the film and it’s void of A-list actors, which is actually a good thing for a film like this. Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler,Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Joel Courtney, Gabriel Basso and Zach Mills. So it’s a mix of some veteran actors and some new, fresh faces.

Although I’m still a little confused as to what exactly this film is about, I’m really excited to see Abrams pay homage to the creativity and originality of Spielberg’s earlier films.
