In THE DARKEST HOUR it seems that the aliens are trying to steal our electricity. I have to wonder why they would even care about stealing our electricity. I would think that aliens, if they were truly the most intelligent life in the universe, would already have thought of a way to harness their own sort of electricity. If not, maybe something more powerful to use in the place of electricity.
It also seems that Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirby, Max Minghella and Rachael Taylor are the sole survivors of this alien invasion. They end up finding out that the best way to find the aliens is to use supplies with an electrical current to detect their presence. I don’t know if this could be a decent sci-fi movie or a really bad one. The trailer comes off as a little silly in my opinion.
The latest poster for the film is missing the leads but has plenty of electrical destruction. With the warning for us to survive the holidays since it releases on Christmas Day.
