Emma Roberts and Freddy Highmore's Homework gets a distributor

Fox Searchlight Pictures has picked up the coming of age film entitled HOMEWORK starring Emma Roberts, Freddy Highmore, Michael Angarano, Elizabeth Reaser, Rita Wilson, Sam Robards and Blair Underwood. Fox Searchlight acquired world-wide distribution rights of the film by Gavin Weisen who makes his directorial debut with the film. HOMEWORK follows George (Highmore) who is a smart, lonely and cynical young man who has managed to get through his life without doing any real work. When he meets Sally (Roberts) they form a friendship based on their kindred spirits. The film is set to be released sometime in 2011.
I think Emma Roberts is really too cute for words so I’ll see just about anything she’s in, plus I love most coming of age stories so this has some serious potential. The one weak link is Freddy Highmore, I have yet to watch a movie in which he starred that I actually liked. Probably not his fault, but there it is.
