Emma Watson does a sexy pole dance in the first clip from The Bling Ring

Okay, so maybe the actual clip isn’t as exciting as the title would have you believe, but I blame the marketing team behind Sofia Coppola’s THE BLING RING for letting the first clip from the film be one of Emma Watson doing a pseudo pole dance. They know what they have on their hands and that’s a grown up Hermione who is definitely breaking out of her good girl image. But it’s one thing to break out of an image, it’s another thing to do it successfully. In Emma Watson’s case, I think teaming with Coppola was a good choice and even though the title of the clip says “stripper”, the actual clip seems to set up a group of kids that are taking things too far, with no regard for right and wrong.
THE BLING RING stars Emma Watson, Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga, Nina Siemaszko, Erin Daniels, Patricia Lentz, Stacy Edwards and Maika Monroe. The Sofia Coppola directed film will hit theaters this summer on June 14th.
