Eva Green in talks for a role in 300: Battle of Artemisium

When Zack Snyder’s 300 came out back in 2006 it amazed movie goers. The style was great and the action was non-stop entertainment. There were talks for awhile that a sequel or prequel would come for the film. With Snyder’s growing popularity, anything 300 related got pushed back in favor of new projects.
Finally there is some movement on the 300 prequel, 300: BATTLE OF ARTEMISIUM. Snyder will not direct but co-wrote the script with Kurt Johnstad so it will still have a similar feel. Noam Murro (SMART PEOPLE) is the helmer on the Xerxes based film.
There’s no one attached to star in the film but Eva Green has been offered the role of Artemisia, who is described as a ruthless, gold-covered goddess who persuades Xerxes I of Persia to assemble his forces and helps to lead them into battle against the Greeks. 300 creator Frank Miller says that the story takes place 10 years before Thermopylae, beginning with the legendary Battle of Marathon. He also states that the lead character will be Themistocles, the legendary Athenian politician and general.
