First Look at Ryan Reynolds as The Green Lantern!

We’re getting a lot of early looks at upcoming films including TRANSFORMERS 3, FAST FIVE and THOR. I guess DC and Warner Brothers were feeling a little left out, so they decided to display the first image of Ryan Reynolds as The Green Lantern on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. I can’t say the image does anything one way or the other as far as building anticipation for the film. It looks like they stayed true to the comics, which is good enough for most. The question remains how they’re going to turn this very super-natural character into a movie we can relate to. I think Ryan Reynolds will go far in making that a success.

The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Jon Tenney and Temuera Morrison. Martin Campbell is directing.
