First official image of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in The Tourist

A while back, we got our first unofficial look at Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp on the set of their upcoming film, THE TOURIST. Today, we get the first official look at them from Columbia Pictures. As far as first pictures go, I find it kind of odd. This picture is going to be used in news articles for the next couple of months, so you would think Columbia would have put more effort into the very first look at the movie. And who’s that guy in the picture with the two stars? Was it really necessary to have a random extra in the shot that turned out to be the first image from the film?
The film stars Depp and Jolie, along with Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell. Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck will be directing the thriller about a American man (Depp) that travels to Paris and is caught up with a mysterious woman (Jolie). Eventually, they become entangled in a world of danger.
